In only his second pro game, Freddy Adu showed flashes of his promise. The 14-year-old D.C. United forward made several fine plays in Saturday night's 1-1 tie with the Los Angeles Galaxy, including a strong shot -- his first as a pro -- in the 90th minute. D.C. United's Freddy Adu had a shot at being the hero Saturday night, but Los Angeles Galaxy goaltender Kevin Hartman blocked the 14-year-old's first pro shot and preserved a 1-1 tie.
